Kargoplex Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Kargoplex collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information across our global freight marketplace, shipping tools, connected applications, and subdomains. It is written to cover visitors, registered users, shippers, freight forwarders, collaborators, and other participants using Kargoplex services.

Introduction

Kargoplex Inc. and its affiliated platforms, products, and services (collectively, “Kargoplex,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operate a digital freight shipping marketplace and software platform that supports quote discovery, rate comparison, booking support, shipment collaboration, cargo consolidation, messaging, document generation, payment facilitation, and related logistics workflows for shippers, freight forwarders, collaborators, logistics partners, and other business users across multiple jurisdictions.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, retain, and otherwise process personal information and business data when you visit or use www.kargoplex.com, any Kargoplex-operated subdomain such as shipper.kargoplex.com, forwarder.kargoplex.com, collaborator.kargoplex.com, any mobile or web-based application, API, integration, marketplace workflow, customer support channel, or any related online or offline service that references this Privacy Policy.

Important note
Kargoplex is a platform business operating across multiple countries. Depending on your relationship with us, we may process your information as a controller, business, service provider, processor, or intermediary, and separate contracts or platform-specific terms may apply to specific services.

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • visitors browsing our websites or landing pages;
  • registered account holders on any Kargoplex product or subdomain;
  • shippers, freight forwarders, carriers, service providers, collaborators, administrators, and invited users;
  • individuals who contact us through forms, chat, email, SMS, telephone, webinars, demos, events, or marketing campaigns; and
  • individuals whose information is included in shipment documents, booking requests, invoices, customs data, support tickets, payment workflows, compliance checks, or user communications processed through the platform.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, marketplaces, carrier platforms, customs portals, payment providers, mapping providers, or other external services that we do not control, even if they are linked from or integrated with our services.

  • monitor, investigate, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, spam, sanctions exposure, suspicious activity, cybersecurity incidents, and policy violations;
  • analyze usage patterns, improve product performance, measure engagement, and optimize content, workflows, features, and infrastructure;
  • market our services, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences; and
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

How we share information

  • other users or counterparties where sharing is necessary to provide marketplace, booking, communication, payment, payout, shipment, cargo consolidation, or support workflows;
  • our affiliates and corporate group entities;
  • service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, communicate, support, process payments, or operate the services;
  • integration partners and logistics providers, including payment, mapping, communication, anti-bot, logistics, carrier, customs, booking, or fulfillment partners used within our services;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, lenders, investors, or counterparties in connection with financing, due diligence, corporate transactions, disputes, or claims;
  • regulators, courts, law enforcement, tax authorities, or other government bodies where required by law or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or compliance; and
  • a successor, purchaser, or acquiring entity if we undergo a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, financing, asset sale, or similar transaction.

AWS, Vercel, Docker-based infrastructure, Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave, Paystack, M-Pesa, Mailjet, Brevo, Twilio, Leaflet-based map services, tawk.to, CAPTCHA providers, and logistics or booking integrations such as Air Menzies.

International transfers

Kargoplex operates globally. Your information may be accessed, processed, stored, or transferred in the United States, Canada, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, and other jurisdictions where we, our affiliates, or our service providers operate.

Where required by law, we take steps intended to provide appropriate safeguards for international transfers, which may include contractual protections, access controls, transfer risk assessments, and additional technical or organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information involved.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the services, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce contracts, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect our rights, and support backup and business continuity processes.
